Welcome to the Island County Online Permit Center

To submit a Building Permit in Island County, a Site Registration and Septic Design, along with approved Access Permit, Address, and Water Availability Verification, will be required starting March 1, 2024.  Septic Design does not require approval, but must be completed by a qualified Septic Designer and submitted to the Health Department.  Permits without these items will not be accepted for submittal by the Building Department.

Our Permit Center provides online public access to the current status of permits, inspection details and access to application materials and submitted documentation. Other available services include reviewing public notices, viewing inspection activity and results and viewing scheduled inspections. Our goal is to make conducting business in Island County simpler and more efficient for our citizens. At this time we have a number of permits avaiable to submit online and are working towards many more in the future. 

 

Registered Users can:

* Apply for permits digitally using PDF submittal documentation

* Pay permit invoices

* Track status of permit applications

* Request inspections & review inspection results

If you are a previous user of the Island County Permit Portal, your login name is your registered email address used during initial permitting setup. Go to the Login screen and press the "Forgot your password?" link. Use this email address to request a password reset. After creating your account, you will then enter your portal access code.
